Originally from Bedford, Virginia, I have spent the past five years in Blacksburg, Virginia attending Virginia Tech. I am currently a Graduate student in Education and Instruction, with a focus on PK-12 Instrumental Education. I graduated last May with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and Music Performance.

My time at Viginia Tech has been full of teaching and performance opportunities. I have performed in many of the Music Department's ensembles, including the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band, Campus Band, Pep Band, and the Marching Virginians throughout the past five years. Additionally, this past fall I had the opportunity to conduct my peers in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble for my graduate conducting recital, as well as serve as a Student Staff Member with the Marching Virginians.

My music teaching experiences range from kindergarten music through high school band. I interned at local elementary school spring of my Junior year, a local high school fall of my Graduate year, and am currently completing my full time student teaching experience at a middle school in Roanoke, VA.

I have a passion for teaching and love working with students of all ages and abilities. Please feel free to explore the different sections of my eportfolio for my growth from student to teacher over the past several years. For more information regarding my education and professional experiences, please see my resume.
